BYU adds another QB commitment

Three-star quarterback Keaton Torre made an early college decision by committing to Louisville last October, but backed off those plans this past spring as he mulled other possibilities.

The process came to a close once again this weekend as the pro-style prospect from South Jordan (Utah) Bingham took an official visit to BYU and saw enough to commit to the Cougars.

WHAT'S NEXT?: The 6-foot-2, 183-pound Torre intends to start recruiting for the Cougars in hopes of keeping some of the top in-state talent home for college. He has a couple high school teammates, including Jay Tufele and Oregon commit Langi Tuifua, that could be viewed as primary targets.
IN HIS WORDS: "I couldn't have asked for a better visit this weekend," Torre told Rivals.com. "I am extremely honored and blessed to be committed to Brigham Young University."
RIVALS' REACTION: The Cougars landed their second commitment from an in-state quarterback in the 2016 class, as Torre joined three-star prospect Jaren Hall. They have different styles, with Torre possessing the arm strength and Hall flashing more athleticism in the pocket, so the two should complement each other well in BYU's system. Torre also drew looks from several Pac-12 programs so he was certainly on the radar and should be considered a solid pick up for the Cougars.
