Byrum reeling them in

Christian Byrum has slowly been gathering offers and he is now well into the double digits. Last week the safety out of Virginia Beach (Va.) Tallwood picked up one of his biggest offers to date.
"Boston College offered last week," said the 6-foot-1, 195-pound Byrum. "Any ACC school I get is pretty big. I'd like to look into those. I don't know much about them. I plan on going up to see what Boston College is all about. Coach Leonard and I talk frequently and talked to the defensive coordinator about a week ago.

Byrum has said he likes all the schools that have offered him but he did give an indication as to which schools are in the lead.
"Everybody is pretty even," he said. "N.C. State and Old Dominion pretty much have an advantage over everyone right now because I've met the coaching staff and I've been around campus. I feel like I'm more comfortable with all the schools that I have visited than the other ones.
"I have the best relationship with the Old Dominion coaching staff," Byrum said. "Since they're really close I tend to go out to that area a lot. I talk to some of the coaches a lot and I get letters from them all the time. I just feel most comfortable with them right now."
Byrum has a tentative visit scheduled right now.
"I'm trying to get down to N.C. State for their camp," he said. "I'm going down there with some teammates. They'll be doing the camp but I'm just going to see the coaches and get on campus.
"I want to go to the Virginia and Virginia Tech camps later in the summer," said Byrum. "Coach Stinespring from Virginia Tech has visited me a few times."
Syracuse and Massachusetts are the other most recent offers for Byrum.
