Byrd thinking about plans

Sicklerville (N.J.) Timber Creek athlete Damiere Byrd has now received offers from 11 schools, and he's starting to look down the road.
The 5-foot-9, 156-pound prospect recently received a couple of new offers to add to his list. Byrd took them in stride, saying he will continue to look into all the schools that have offered and narrow things down later.

"West Virginia and East Carolina have offered," Byrd explained. "I've been talking to some coaches ... pretty much just the ones that have offered.
"I want to start narrowing it down towards the end of the summer. I think I'll make my decision around Signing Day."
Byrd is a member of the Rivals250 to Watch for 2011 squad, and should find himself very high on lists ranking the best prospects in New Jersey when they come out.
Though he has very little to prove at this point Byrd said he will probably attend the NIKE camp that will be held at Penn State.
"I'm really trying to get up to Rutgers, UConn and Maryland," he noted.
