Byrd stil learning about the process

Trotwood (Ohio) Trotwood-Madison is loaded with great players this season, and one of the players that fans can expect to hear more from this fall is 6-foot-1, 224-pound defensive end Carson Byrd.
With offers already on the table from Eastern Michigan, Miami of Ohio and Toledo, he's just now starting to get into the process.

"I'm the first one in my family to play big time football," Byrd, a two-star prospect, said. "So I learn everyday just about the rules and what you can and can't do. Just how people are. You've got to learn to keep your enemies closer."
Byrd has done about everything he can this summer to stay busy. It's included trips to many different places for camps, just to take unofficial visits and for other school activities.
"I went to Georgia Tech's football camp as a defensive end," he said. "Then they told me they're interested in me as an outside linebacker I've been real busy right now I'm out of town. I'm at this leadership council because my mom doesn't want me to worry about football until the season comes. She doesn't want me to be one dimensional."
Byrd said at this point, Stanford is recruiting him the hardest.
"My ACT was a 22 and right now my GPA is a 3.4," Byrd said. "So if I get above like a 24 on my ACT, they're going to offer me. Whoever likes me, I like them too. I don't want to say I have any top teams."
Byrd has a few things in mind for the perfect school.
"Wherever I go to school, my mom is most likely going to move to that town to see me play," he said. "It's got to have my major that I'm majoring in. Also it has to have playing time availability, I need to know that I'm going to play."
