Ft. Bend (Texas) Hightower offensive lineman Tyrone Byrd was not able to visit any schools unofficially over the weekend.
“I didn’t even get to watch any games,” the 6-foot-6, 260-pound Byrd said. “We had a game yesterday and when we got home it was too late, everything was over. We lost by one point in the game, unfortunately.”
On the recruiting trail, it has been the same old, same old for the three-star rated tackle.

“I really haven’t had anything new for a while,” he said. “The same schools as always have been calling.”
Byrd’s list of schools includes Colorado, Iowa, Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Pittsburgh and UCLA. All of the schools have extended scholaraship offers except for Miami and Ohio State.
Byrd has yet to line up any official visits yet.
“I’m not going to set them for a while,” he said. “I know I won’t be taking any of them until our season is over. So, I’m looking at December before I can have any free dates.”
