Bynum is gaining interest

Houston (Texas) Elsik running back Jerry Bynum is getting quite a bit of interest. The 6-foot, 185-pound tailback claims no offers to date, but is high on a few schools.
"Just in the last two weeks I've been writing coaches back," he said. "I've been getting a lot of Division I interest, Texas A&M, Miami, Kansas State, USC and Oregon."

Bynum claims a few favorites.
"I'm really trying to go to Miami," he said. "I've just been thinking about there and when I was in little league that was my dream school. I just like the school.
"I also like Texas A&M and Southern Cal."
Bynum boasts a 3.4 GPA.
On the field, Bynum ran for 1,589-yards and 22 touchdowns as a junior this past season.
"I think I had a pretty good season, I'm looking forward to next year," he said. "I improved my change of direction, balance and got a little faster from my sophomore year."
So what sticks out about Bynum?
"I have real good ball control, good balance, I'm very fast and I have good tackle breaking ability."
A star track athlete as well, Bynum placed sixth in the 300 hurdles and seventh in the 110 hurdles in state as a junior. Bynum is considering pursuing track as well in addition to football in college.
