Bynes still wide open

Lauderdale Lakes (Fla.) Boyd Anderson quarterback Herb Bynes may just be one of the hottest names in the Miami metro area currently. He has picked up a number of impressive offers in the last few months, but is having a hard time narrowing things down.
"I haven't really picked up any new offers recently," Bynes said. "Auburn, Duke, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Ole Miss, Wisconsin, Central Florida, Louisville, Florida International and North Carolina are the teams that have offered me so far."

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Bynes attended the NIKE camp in Miami in April where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.95 seconds and posted a 26-inch vertical jump.
"I really don't have a top five or anything right now," Bynes said. "I will narrow it down after the kickoff classic on August 19. We go up to Sarasota and play Riverview for a pre-season game. Right now every team that has offered is still in it."
As a junior in a conservative scheme, he threw for 869 yards and four touchdowns. He also ran for more than 200 yards and scored two more times on the ground.
"Right now Ole Miss stands out a little bit to me," Bynes said. "They have really caught my eye lately. I am also impressed with Wisconsin, Louisville and Kansas. I really the offense they run, I think going to one of those places could help get me to the NFL one day."
In addition to the NIKE camp Bynes attended camp at the University of Miami as well as several local camps this summer.
"I'm not going to make a decision until after I have taken all of my visits," Bynes said. "I'm looking for certain things and I want to find a school that is the best fit for me. I probably won't take my visits until after the season."
