Byars has a trio of offers

Boca Raton (Fla.) running back Keith Byars II has landed three offers over the past month.
"I have offers from Florida International, Louisville, and Memphis," Byars II said. "They started coming in over the course of a couple weeks now. FIU was the first to offer."

The 5-foot-10, 200-pound back was very happy when the Golden Panthers made the call and extended his first verbal offer.
"It just felt great that all of the work I have done in the weight room and all of the work on the field really paid off when I had an offer from a college," Byars II said. "I have always dreamed about playing college ball."
Out of the three schools to offer so far, he has had the most communication with Charlie Strong's team.
"I've talked to Louisville a lot," Byars II said. "That is about all of the communication I have had. They have just told me they are looking forward to coming down in the spring and meeting me."
At this point, he hasn't been able to check any of his suitors out up-close and personal since they offered.
"I haven't been able to visit any of the schools yet," Byars II said. "I plan to in the future though. When I do it is up to my father."
In addition to the trio of offers, Byars II is also receiving a lot of hand-written letters from West Virginia.
His upcoming plans include a trip to Columbus, Ohio to visit his father's alma mater, Ohio State, for the Buckeyes' annual spring game.
"I would love to play at Ohio State," Byars II said. "That has been my favorite school since I was kid. I have talked to the coaches before because I go to the camp every summer. I know the campus very well and would love to hear more from them. They know who I am."
Byars II said his focus after the spring football is to keep working hard in the weight room while also focusing on speed training.
