Butler making plans

Mesquite (Texas) West Mesquite three-star cornerback Josh Butler has received offers from across the country and he has kept an open mind throughout the process. However, he will start making some decisions in the near future.
Right now, he continues to research his options, but he does have a few summer visits in the plans.

"I'm probably planning to go to Michigan State, Boise State, Tennessee, and I don't know the rest but there's some more," Butler said. "We're probably going to Tennessee on the 18th and 19th and then when we're done at Tennessee we'll keep going and go to Michigan State around the 20th."
There is one thing he is looking forward more than any of the others on his college visits.
"Good communication with the coaches and players," Butler said.
He is not ready to declare a top 10 or list anyone as a definite favorite. Not publicly at least. No, he is researching majors and trying to find the best fit for him on and off the field.
The time is coming though, and it is coming soon. Butler may be doing his research before he makes his announcement, but he does plan to make an announcement in the very near future.
"By the end of this month," Butler said.
In addition to planning to make a commitment by the end of July and take a few college visits, Butler has stayed busy with morning workouts and will participate in the Texas 7-on-7 State Championships in College Station, Texas.
Butler is currently a three-star cornerback, ranked No. 45 among the nation's cornerbacks, and ranked No. 61 in the Rivals.com Texas Preseason Top 100.
