Butler has a sleeper in Stribling

Matthews (N.C.) Butler is home to a number of top prospects for 2013. A recruit largely going under the radar to date is 6-foot-2, 170-pound wideout Channing Stribling despite an impressive junior season.
"I finished the year with 35 receptions for 654-yards and 8 touchdowns. I also had 36 tackles and five interceptions," he stated. "I was all-conference and all-region."

Not just a football talent, Stribling averages 12-points and six rebounds a game in basketball and placed third in the state in the triple jump.
"In college I would like to play basketball and football, if I can't I'd like to do football and run track. I am getting recruited a little bit for basketball and track."
With regards to football recruiting, colleges are beginning to take note.
"They are looking at me hard," he said. "Tennessee is talking about me on defense, Clemson is interested, North Carolina, South Carolina and NC State."
Does Stribling like anyone?
"I like North Carolina, NC State and then I'm from Alabama, so I like Auburn and Alabama.
"I think those two are up there cause I'm from there. I moved my sophomore year to North Carolina. Auburn is close to my home, but I'm an Alabama fan. As for North Carolina, I went to the campus and it's very nice. I want to visit NC State."
