Butler Getting Attention

One of the rising names in Virginia this year is offensive tackle/defensive tackle Brad Butler from E.C. Glass High School in Lynchburg, Va. The 6-foot-8, 265-pounder doesn’t have any offers yet, but knows what teams he likes.

“If Virginia offered, I’d commit,” he said. “I really liked my visit there and the coaches are great.”

Butler was at the Virginia-Richmond game on an unofficial visit, but still feels he has to keep things open.

“I’m also looking at Maryland, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Duke and Army,” said the big man, who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.95 seconds and can bench press 275 pounds. “I’ll decide based on what teams offer. Like I said, if UVA offered, I’d go there but any team that offers will be near the top of my list.”

Butler’s team beat North Stafford High School 24-6 in their opener.
