Butler DE is gaining interest

Matthews (N.C.) Butler is home to a number of talented prospects in 2011 including arguably the top quarterback in the nation. A few other prospects are emerging including a 6-foot-4, 230-pound defensive end in Colin Parsons.
"He's getting letters from about every school on the East Coast," his father, Kevin said. "He just took his SAT and then we're going to start making trips.

"We've already gone to Duke, Wake Forest and Clemson and I'm not sure where we're headed next."
How were the trips to the three ACC schools?
"We liked them all, there are some good things in all of them. He hasn't taken enough visits to be able to rank them though."
Parsons father played linebacker for Nebraska in the 1980's and discussed his son further as a player.
"I think he did outstanding this past year," he said. "He was recognized as all-conference and helped his team to a state championship last season.
"He is a very aggressive hitter. He's tough, explosive and comes off the ball really fast. He attacks the ball and does his responsibilities."
