Butler could be close to offers

Treyjohn Butler is having a good junior season and he gets the feeling that more offers could be coming soon.
The 2016 four-star defensive back from Etiwanda, Calif., said he believes Arizona State could be the closest to offering and many others are interested as well.

"There is a lot of talk from different schools," Butler said. "A lot of programs have been hitting me up.
"Arizona State I've been picking up a lot of interest. Notre Dame is coming really heavy right now. Stanford is showing a lot more interest than they did before so a possible offer is coming from them.
"I'm not too focused on recruiting right now. I'm more focused on my team this year."
So far, Butler has been offered by Cal, Northwestern, Washington and Washington State. With that new interest included, the Etiwanda standout is putting together a pretty impressive list.
His focus is solely on his team especially since Butler has been so busy this season. Playing all over the secondary has kept him busy - and on top of that some personal things have been going on - so that has kept him not so focused on the recruiting process.
Unofficial visits haven't been possible so far this year but could come soon.
"This year I've been moving around the secondary," Butler said. "I'm doing what's best for whatever team we're playing whether that's free safety or going to nickel, locking down receivers and not allowing any catches, that's basically how it's been going.
"I'm been unable to (take visits) because I've been in the process of moving and my grandmother lives with me so I had to move her out and get her stuff into her place which took up my time on the weekends. After that I had to move myself and my mom so I was busy for a good four to five weeks so I didn't have an opportunity to go to big USC or UCLA games."
Butler is rated as the No. 10 cornerback and the No. 135 prospect in the 2016 class by Rivals.com.
