Butler claims two new SEC offers

Larry Butler is not playing this season at Sacramento (Calif.) Sacramento City C.C. but college teams continue to show interest in him and the 6-foot-1, 245-pound inside linebacker is now claiming two new SEC offers.
Butler said Kentucky and Mississippi State have now offered and that he's trying to schedule visits to both schools as soon as possible. He thinks a trip to Lexington will happen first and he said those SEC teams have jumped to the top of his list.

"I'm really excited," Butler said. "I'm starting to feel like my recruitment is picking up speed. I'm looking to set up visits pretty soon and I'm feeling pretty good about myself right now.
"Those are definitely my top two. I'm trying to work them out now. My first visit will be to Kentucky. We're talking about that now and we should have a date set later this week.
"I'm definitely looking at everything that would be good for me like location and everything else, not just football."
Houston, Memphis, New Mexico, Arkansas State and Alcorn State have already offered Butler, who is originally from Baton Rouge, La., and has decided to redshirt at Sacramento City C.C. this season.
Ohio State has also apparently started to show lots of interest in Butler so he plans to watch the Buckeyes closely over the next few weeks to see if they get even more involved in his recruitment.
Butler will have three years to play once he gets to a college campus. The plan is still in place to be somewhere for spring football but he might have to wait until the following semester to get on a college campus.
Either way, Butler said he will be eligible by next football season and with the new SEC offers he's hoping to figure out his recruitment soon after taking some visits.
