Busy times for Allensworth

Darius Allensworth wants college coaches to know they should get involved soon because the Romoland (Calif.) Heritage wants to wrap up his recruitment by the start of his senior season.
The 5-foot-11, 175-pound prospect said at the Southern Cal Rivals.com Showcase Powered by FBU Select this past weekend that he's happy with his Arizona commitment but is still looking at other options. Many are coming in.

"I don't want to keep it open through signing day," Allensworth said. "I want to be done by August. I told my dad that because I want to focus on my senior season and win a state championship. I want to close it early."
Allensworth, who has shined at multiple events in recent weeks, has seen his recruitment take off. So far, Arizona, Colorado, UCLA, Utah, Washington State and Wisconsin have offered and many others are showing interest.
Ever since making his commitment to Arizona in April, Allensworth has kept the door open for other programs to get involved. He's hoping he can finalize his list soon, focus on those schools and make his final decision by the end of summer.
"I'm comfortable with (Arizona)," Allensworth said. "The coach was at my school last week so I've been talking to him but I'm just going to talk it over with my dad so we'll see. Right now I still like Arizona.
"Especially with the Big Ten offer from Wisconsin it's getting hectic. They really don't recruit California that much so it was pretty interesting. The coach came to my school and liked my film and a week later they offered. It was pretty surreal. It's getting busier."
