Busy summer for Rivals250 QB

Rivals250 quarterback Star Jackson plans to narrow the focus of his recruitment toward the end of summer. For now, the talented signal caller from Lake Worth (Fla.) High has his eye on a number of programs and is getting ready for a busy summer travel schedule.
"Recruiting has been going all right," Jackson said. "It's slowed down a bit now that they can't contact you. But I've been hearing (by text message and letters) from all of the schools that have been recruiting me."

The 6-foot-3, 195-pounder holds offers from Alabama, Minnesota, Rutgers, West Virginia, Central Florida, South Florida, Florida International and Georgia (verbal). Several of those programs have been showing him the most interest.
"I don't really have a favorite right now," he said. "I remain interested in and am being shown interest by Alabama, Georgia, UCF, USF and West Virginia."
Jackson plans to make a trip to Tuscaloosa to check out the Crimson Tide in July.
"I really like the prestige at that college," Jackson said. "I like what's behind the program. I also like that area. I like Tuscaloosa."
The Mountaineers are another program that Jackson maintains interest in.
"It's just like Alabama in that I like what is behind the program," Jackson said. "I like how they are coming up."
Georgia has backed off somewhat in recent months.
"I haven't talked to anybody from Georgia in a while," he said. "But I am still interested in them."
Jackson plans to camp at Alabama, Auburn, Florida State and Florida this summer.
"I don't really have a leader right now," he said. "Hopefully, by August things will be more clear."
Jackson had nearly 1,500 yards of total offense during his junior season and is rated a low (5.8) four-star prospect by Rivals.com.
