Busy spring planned for safety

Provo (Utah) Timpview safety Chris Badger has been holding two scholarship offers from in-state schools for a while, but the interest in the talented safety has continued to grow.
"I have offers from Brigham Young and Utah," the 6-foot, 176-pound Badger said. "I have a really good relationship with the coaches at those schools. I am also talking with Coach John Neal from Oregon."

The list of schools in pursuit of Badger is continuing to grow as he sends his highlight films out.
"I have sent film to Colorado, Vanderbilt and to LSU," he said. "We will see what else comes up."
Badger has already begun his tour of schools for the spring.
"I went to BYU's junior day and I am looking at going to Utah's, Oreogn's, UCLA's and maybe Stanford's. I will also pick four or five schools to go to the camps and show my skills one on one to the coaches at those schools.
"I want to find a school that has a depth chart that isn't loaded at my position. I want to find a good program that I can be part of and become the best player I can. And I need to find a school that I am going to be comfortable with."
As a junior, Badger recorded a team leading 75 tackles. He helped lead Timpview to the state championship for the third straight season. As a starter since his sophomore season, Badger has never left the field as a loser, having had a hand in leading the team to the three state chamjpionships.
