Busy Month For Virginia Star

Virginia Beach (Va.) Floyd E. Kellam safety Robbie Catterton has had a busy month of May.
“I had over 35 schools visit me at school this month,” said the 6-foot-3, 190-pound standout. “The week of May 7 alone schools like North Carolina, UCLA, Stanford, Michigan, Pitt, Wake Forest, East Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Northwestern, Indiana, Penn State, Maryland, Ohio State, South Carolina, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia and others came to school.”

Catterton, one of the top defensive prospects in Virginia this year, heard some nice things.
“Coach Groh gave me an offer and coach Beamer told me they would offer when they were done recruiting the linemen they wanted,” he said. “Tech has basically offered because coach Beamer told me they had 14 scholarships to give out this year when I was at the photo shoot in Blacksburg and he told me one of them was mine.”
Others besides Virginia and Virginia Tech are also ready to offer.
“Maryland told me they were going to offer in June and Tennessee told me they’d offer me after their one-day camp on June 15,” he said. “Michigan and Ohio State said they would offer soon as well while East Carolina, Army and Kent State have already offered.”
Catterton is not sure where he’ll camp this summer aside from Tennessee and doesn’t have a leader at this time. He hopes to narrow things down after June when he finds out who has offered.
