Busy January scheduled for Texas DB

Arlington (Texas) Bowie safety Aaron Carr was scheduled to take two official visits in December, but the two-star rated prospect had a change in plans.
"I didn't go to any visits yet," the 6-foot, 184-pound Carr said. "I had to reschedule them. I had a banquet for our team one of the weekends and then my dad came to town to see me the other one. The coaches understood and said it wasn't any problem."

The two visits that are now in January are Texas-El Paso for Jan. 7 and Toledo for Jan. 21.
"I am still looking forward to the two visits," he said. "They have been recruiting me as long as anyone. I will also visit Central Michigan on Jan. 14. I'm wanting to see all of the schools and talk to the coaches to learn as much as I can about them during the visits.
"Iowa State had a coach call me last week and said they were going to call me and probably schedule a visit for Jan .28. I haven't done it yet, but we'll see how quickly that comes."
As for a leader, Carr didn't hesitate to name one.
"UTEP is my favorite right now. They have been recruiting me harder than any of the others and making me feel like they really want me as part of their team. I also like the way the team is headed in the right direction."
