Bustillo could be nearing second offer

The number of big time lineman in the South this year is absolutely amazing. One lineman that is not getting as much publicity as some of the other is Miami (Fla.) Killian big man Ian Bustillo. However, that could be all about to change.
“I’ve already gotten an offer from Auburn and I feel like I’m close to getting an offer from LSU,” said Bustillo. “Coach Ryals from LSU is recruiting me and he was there Wednesday at practice. They called and told me that they would be back in town and let me know something “

The 6-foot-2, 280 pound Bustillo plays offensive tackle for his high school team, but he is well aware of the fact that his height is likely going to place him at center or possibly guard on the college level.
“Right now my favorite is LSU. My dad and uncle went there and I have always liked LSU a lot. Auburn would be my second choice. Auburn is a great offer for me. Coach Gran and coach Tubberville were at my school, but they had already offered me a scholarship. I couldn’t be happier with that offer because it’s a great one. It’s a great school and they play in a great conference.”
Bustillo also stated that Florida, Florida State, Miami, Clemson, North Carolina State and Rutgers rounded out his top eight.
“Rutgers is coming this week and coach Blackwell from Clemson is supposed to be here next Wednesday. Georgia has been showing me some attention as well. They came by the school and they have also called.”
He runs the 40-yard dash in 5.1 seconds, has a 28-inch vertical jump, 310 pound bench press, 450 pound squat, runs the shuttle in 4.7 seconds and does 20 reps on the bench press.
As a junior he had 78 pancakes. He played a total of 580 plays and was only flagged for two penalties and allowed zero sacks.
“I am planning on going to camp at LSU on June 5th and Auburn on June 11th. My goal is to have 10 offers by the end of the summer. I’m hoping between the May evaluation period and camps that it will happen.”
