Bush adds SEC powerhouse

BEAVERTON, Ore. - Deon Bush just made things a lot more interesting.
The four-star safety from Miami (Fla.) Columbus who was one of the best defensive backs during Thursday's workout at The Opening here on the NIKE Campus said LSU has now been added back to his list.

The Tigers were once Bush's top school but did not make his top five - Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Miami and Purdue. However, LSU is right back in the thick of things and Bush said there are lots of reasons for his decision.
"I have a top six now with LSU in it," Bush said.
"I liked LSU and I talked to the coach and I thought about it. LSU was at one time probably my top school that I was looking at. I really want to look at LSU more."
There were multiple things that went into the decision for Bush, a 6-foot-1, 177-pound prospect who looked great a couple weeks ago at the B2G Elite Camp and is off to a hot start at The Opening.
"I like their coach, I like where it's at, it's not too small of a town but not too big, basically it's just right," Bush said.
"They have a great tradition and they have one of my favorite players - Patrick Peterson - and I love to watch him. He's here right now so that's a great thing."
Peterson along with former Florida standout Joe Haden are just a few of the NFL players in attendance this week working with the campers.
Rivals.com rates Bush fourth at safety and No. 65 in the 2012 class. The Miami prospect still plans to take official visits but has not decided on any dates yet.
