Clay Burton picked up another big time offer late last week. This one came from West Virginia for this defensive end standout from Venice, Florida.
"West Virginia offered last week," Burton said. "They have Noel Devine who played his high school ball just south (Fort Myers) of my area. They compete and get to a lot of bowl games. I plan on checking them out, or at least I think so at this point. I know coach (Bill) Kirelawich and he told me he would always recruit me. He's old school but a neat guy. I am not sure what they run scheme wise but they are looking for bigger defensive ends."
Burton, 6-3 and 230 pounds, is beginning to rack of the scholarship offers. Georgia Tech, Clemson, Notre Dame, USF, Purdue, Rutgers and Stanford have already offered him.

"I am pretty open at this point. I may be going to Georgia Tech sometime soon. I was planning on making it up to Notre Dame in the next couple of weeks but I could get a flight fast enough. I will go up there for sure at some point. I am also planning on going to Florida and see my brother (Trey Burton) during spring practice."
