Burton talks favorites, visits

Tight end Dante Burton out of Paterson (N.J.) Paterson Catholic is looking at taking some visits. Where is the 6-foot-2, 225-pounder looking at heading in the near future?
"This weekend I'll be at Syracuse for an unofficial," he said. "I want to see the game and talk to a friend of mine, Jarel Lowery. I have called him to see what everything is like there.

"The fact Jarel is there is helpful. It discourages me on the coaching situation though."
Burton has no other visits planned in the near future, but believes he'll set them very soon.
"I think I may have them set in the next week or so," he said. "I still want to go to Miami, Florida, Tennessee, Cincinnati and ECU. Florida seems to be more interested than Miami. Miami picked up a couple tight end commits. The coach from Florida told me once they see my film this year my offer should be on the way. They have only seen tape from last year."
Two schools are leading for the two-star prospect at this time.
"It's safe to say Florida and Cincinnati are my leaders," he said. "The thing I like most about Florida is that they want a guy like me. They don't want a 260-pound blocking tight end. They want an athletic guy that can block, but also be a big receiver. You have to like the Swamp and I like the coaches.
"Cincinnati wants to do the same thing. They think I'm an athletic receiver too."
