Burton stops frequently at USC

How interested is Brandon Burton in USC?
He's already been to more than a handful of preseason practices and said he loves the environment brought over by the new coaching staff.

"I've been to seven SC practices," Burton said.
"It has been a lot of competition. They have a lot of high-intensity practices. They have a lot of fun and they get after it out there. It's a really good atmosphere.
"It's much more different than the old staff. It's much looser and they're having a lot more fun. Who wouldn't like more energy and fun around the practice?"
Burton is a 2016 four-star prospect from Gardena (Calif.) Serra who can play either wide receiver or defensive back. The Trojans mainly like him at receiver but he could be pulled either way since it's still so early in his recruitment.
"They're still talking to me about playing offense," Burton said. "I was talking to coach (Keith) Heyward and he's a defensive guy so he was trying to pull me over to play safety for them."
Burton's seven stops at USC is an especially big deal since his last unofficial visit to UCLA was for its summer camp. Those two schools along with Arizona State, Cal, Colorado, Florida, Florida State, Miami and Utah have offered so far.
The Trojans are definitely in good shape with the 2016 prospect from Serra but Burton is nowhere close to making his commitment to any school.
"It's way too early," Burton said. "I'm most likely going to wait until signing day of my senior year. That's probably when I'll make my decision."
The four-star who's rated No. 82 in the 2016 class said Notre Dame has started to show more interest and the coaches told him they could stop by one of Serra's games this season.
