Burton plans extensive visit schedule

Brandon Burton is planning an extensive round of trips and then the four-star could be ready to make his decision.
The Gardena (Calif.) Serra two-way standout who has shined at wide receiver and safety this offseason is planning to visit Arizona and Arizona State soon and then a bunch of other trips could happen before he commits.

"I want to get a feel for both," Burton said of Arizona and ASU. "I want to see some new places. Instead of staying in Southern California, I want to see some new places."
The other trips that are seriously being considered in the coming months include Washington, Oregon, Oklahoma, Florida State and Ohio State.
Burton, rated as the sixth-best safety and the No. 45 prospect in the 2016 class by Rivals.com, is hoping to make all those trips soon and then the four-star said he could be prepared to announce his commitment early.
"I'm going to make a decision after I visit all the schools I just named," Burton said. "Hopefully, in the spring I'll make a decision or in the summer or early fall."
Other than all those schools, USC, UCLA and others are very much in the picture. He has been a mainstay at USC and Burton said the Bruins have also really impressed him on how diligently they've recruited him in recent months.
Florida State is also an interesting situation because he is a close friend of five-star quarterback commit Malik Henry and has been impressed with the Seminoles' success.
"Malik is my boy," Burton said. "We grew up together and with Florida State I like what they're about, how they only lost one game in two years. That takes some good coaching and a will to win for that to happen."
