Burton now at 10 offers

Pompano Beach (Fla.) Blanche Ely cornerback Adrian Burton recently returned home from a small summer tour. The 5-foot-11, 176-pound defensive back joined a handful of other South Florida prospects in traveling to campuses and camps around the Southeast.
"I went to a couple of camps," Burton said. "I did the camp at Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Georgia, and Georgia Tech."

His work at those camps helped to produce a new offer.
"Vanderbilt offered me," Burton said. "I am glad to get that offer, it is from an SEC school. They are looking forward to doing big things this year. I am looking forward to seeing how they progress this year. I think they can have a better season than last year and they have added a lot of good players. The coaching staff is real good. I love Coach (Wesley) McGriff. I liked their campus when we were there. I like their practice fields."
The three-star defensive back now holds 10 offers. He isn't quite ready to narrow down his list.
"As the season goes there are a couple schools that wanted to wait and see how I did in some of my games before they decided to offer me or not," "South Carolina, Ole Miss, West Virginia, and Maryland - they are waiting on the first couple games to see how I do. It will depend on what happens and whether or not I get some new offers."
When Burton does narrow things down, he intends to take a few official visits before reaching his final decision.
"I am going to try to take most of my visits, but I won't take them immediately," Burton said. "I have no idea where I want to visit right now. I don't have any leaders. Everybody is on the same page and has the same chances."
Burton's complete offer list consists of Central Michigan, Georgia State, Indiana, New Mexico, Northern Illinois, Southern Methodist, Utah State, Vanderbilt, Western Kentucky, and Western Michigan.
