Burton back from FSU

Brandon Burton got the opportunity to see the Miami-Florida State game last weekend, one of the biggest rivalries in college football, and the four-star had a great time on his trip to Tallahassee.
Florida State has always been one of the favorites and the Gardena (Calif.) Serra two-way standout said that definitely remains the case after the trip.

"I loved it out there," Burton said. "It was a great environment and a great situation to go in to.
"They've always been seriously in the running but the visit just made them go up that much further on my list."
Burton, rated as the third-best athlete in the 2016 class, had a great time at the game. Sitting down with the coaches so they could break down how they envision using him was also a big selling point.
"It's about the position they want me and the whole football program in general," Burton said.
"They have a lot of good dudes out there and I'm stepping into a position where I could potentially start my freshman year. There are four DBs leaving the school.
"I was talking to the coaches and they have plans for me to come in. I was talking to coach (Charles) Kelly and I could play either safety position, come in and play corner for them and on offense I could play a slot position for them."
As for the game, it will be one Burton remembers for a long time.
"It was one of the best games I've ever been to," Burton said. "To see such a rivalry game, seeing where it's rooted from and seeing the passion all the fans had was really exciting."
The four-star plans to visit Notre Dame this weekend and then he has trips to Alabama and Ohio State scheduled in November. UCLA is also a major contender in his recruitment but he won't take an official visit there.
