Burton at two offers

Pompano Beach (Fla.) Blanche Ely defensive back Adrian Burton still remembers when he got word of his first college offer.
"My first offer, I was ecstatic, happy, joyous," Burton said. "I was just running around the house telling my momma every five minutes."

Since that time, his offer list has increased to two.
"Northern Illinois and Indiana have offered me," Burton said. "Indiana was my first offer."
The South Florida cornerback talked about what he heard from the coaches at Indiana when they extended the offer.
"He basically said that they need an athlete like me to be part of their defense," Burton said. "They just said I would help their defense a lot."
The 5-foot-10, 175-pounder is also hearing from two other schools, one of which is on the verge of extending an offer.
"I am also hearing from Miami and SMU," Burton said. "SMU is waiting on my transcripts to send me an offer."
He has previously visited the University of Miami for a Junior Day. At this time, he doesn't know when he will be able to see other schools.
"I have no idea when I will be hitting the road," Burton said. "I know the coach from Indiana wants to get me up there this summer."
Burton is a member of the South Florida Footballers 7-on-7 football team and will be participating in the BadgerSports 7-on-7 at the University of South Florida this weeked.
As a junior, he racked up 70 tackles, three sacks, one interception, and 13 passes broken up.
