Burnett starting to really emerge

Deontay Burnett has been phenomenal on the spring circuit.
He looked the part at the RCS Southern California. He has taken over some 7on7 tournaments. Finally, the Gardena (Calif.) Serra three-star wide receiver is getting noticed by major programs.

Miami was the first to offer Burnett, who said he performed well in a recent spring workout and the offer from the Hurricanes came right away.
"We had practice on Friday and we practiced 11-on-11 and I had like seven catches and I guess the Miami coach was impressed," Burnett said.
"It's a great offer. I wasn't expecting it though."
One of many standout players at Serra, Burnett said he knows about Miami's football history and tradition but not a lot about the campus or school. Now that he has the offer, the three-star plans to do his research.
"I've known about them but I don't really know about the campus and everything," Burnett said. "I just know a lot about the football program right now."
Utah has also joined the offer list in recent days and the 5-foot-11, 159-pound receiver said USC might be inching toward an offer.
UCLA, Washington, Oregon State, Arizona, Cal and Washington State are showing new interest as well.
"USC has been by and they might be close to offering me," Burnett said. "UCLA was there this past week and some other schools, too."
