Burnett plans Pac-12 summer trip

Deontay Burnett landed his third offer from Colorado State earlier this week to go along with Miami and Utah and many other programs have shown a lot of interest.
The Gardena (Calif.) Serra three-star wide receiver who's poised for a breakout senior season has mainly been hearing from Pac-12 programs and he is seriously considering a big trip to one this summer.

"There are a lot of colleges," Burnett said. "Washington, Oregon State, USC and Cal are getting much more involved. They've really stepped it up.
"Cal wants to see more and USC wants to see more. Washington wants me to come visit and I think I'm going to take that visit this summer. Oregon State said they want to see more, too, before they offer. They're just taking one receiver."
A trip to Washington over the summer is a strong possibility and Burnett basically only needs to clear it with his mother before scheduling it.
There is serious interest in the Huskies so the three-star receiver who has performed well this spring on the camp and 7on7 circuit is hopeful he can see the campus and meet more with the coaching staff.
"I'm going to ask my mom more about going," Burnett said. "She said we might be able to go so I'm thinking about going up there."
For Burnett, it's premature to name a leader. Miami definitely impresses him, Utah plays in the Pac-12 and Colorado State is the newest offer so the Serra recruit is being patient to see if other teams get involved.
Plenty of college programs stop by Serra during spring workouts so Burnett is waiting to see if others show interest.
"I don't have a favorite," Burnett said.
