Burke switching positions

Three-star prospect Kyeler Burke probably won't be labeled as a wide receiver for much longer.
The standout from Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton exclusively worked out with the defensive backs last weekend at the Rivals Camp Presented by Under Armour in Las Vegas and he's taking that same approach to the recruiting trail.

"I think that's where I fit in best at the next level," Burke said.
The obstacle, of course, is that Burke has only one game's worth of defensive film to present to coaches. Without much tape, the buzz might be difficult to find.
That's why Burke is antsy to hit the road and prove he's a worthy cornerback, too. A visit to Boise State for early April is already on the itinerary and Northwestern could also be a stop.
"I'm still working out other dates and places," Burke said. "The most aggressive school right now is Northwestern. I consistently talk to coach Clay Bignell. I've talked to their offensive coordinator a few times, too, and they have mentioned offering to my coach, but they want to see me in person first."
With the Broncos, Burke has been in steady communication with director of player personnel Taylor Tharp.
"I'm looking forward to seeing the blue turf," Burke said. "I'm going there on April 4. I look forward to connecting with the coaching staff more and seeing if Boise could be the place for me."
The 6-foot, 167-pound prospect made a stop by nearby Arizona State last weekend for its junior day event. With his father having gone to school there, Burke has grown comfortable with the campus and program.
"I was just down at ASU on Saturday," Burke said. "They would like to see me more at defensive back, so they will be in and out of my school during spring ball. I will be down at ASU a lot watching their practices."
The two-way athlete caught 75 passes for 976 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior. He also added 464 rushing yards and three scores, and tacked on nearly 400 return yards on special teams.
