Burden has enjoyable trip to Kentucky

LaGrange, Ga. cornerback Randall Burden joined teammate D.J. Stafford on an official visit to Kentucky this past weekend. The 6-foot-2, 165-pounder enjoyed his time in Lexington, particularly for their hard fought game against the Gamecocks.
"The visit went well," he said. "I got there around two on Friday and just toured the campus, checked out the facilities and talked with the coaches and players. Overall the school looked really good."

Burden got some time with quite a few of the coaches on the trip.
"I talked with coach Brooks, Brown, Petri and Phillips," he said. "It was cool and I really liked talking to them. They just talked to me about how I'm a really tall corner and they need guys like me.
"I did get some personal time with coach Brooks too. It was fine and he's a really nice person. He said that I could probably play whatever position I want to either cornerback or wide receiver. I'm up for whatever they need me for, but that was nice to hear."
Of course, the two-star cornerback was there for the exciting contact between the Gamecocks and Wildcats.
"I had fun up there for the game," he said. "I thought Kentucky's team definitely got better and showed that in the game. The fans there were just like ours at LaGrange. They really got into it throughout the game."
The visit was a good one for Burden.
"It was a great experience to be on a big campus like that," he said. "I'd probably rate the trip an eight. It was just a good visit."
Burden currently doesn't have any other official visits scheduled.
"I don't have any others at this time," he said. "Lots of other schools are saying I look good on film and they are very interested. They just want to see more film. They include Tulane, South Carolina, East Carolina, Central Florida and Illinois."
