Burd wants to take a visit before deciding

Three-star wide receiver Kris Burd has been leaning towards Virginia for a while. The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder out of Chesterfield (Va.) Matoaca claims one other school may still be in the picture for his services.
"Virginia has been recruiting me a lot heavier recently and that's made me think about them more," he said. "I like the fact that everyone knows me up there and it feels like home. The coaches are also showing me a whole lot of interest.

"I like coach Mike Groh. He turned the whole thing around for me. He let me know he was very interested recently when I thought they lost interest because he hadn't kept in touch. Now I'm seeing a lot more mail and they've really opened my eyes again."
With a renewed interest in his favorite, is Burd any closer to deciding?
"I'm thinking about Virginia a lot more, but I don't think I want to decide until when the season starts. Our first game is on September 8th."
The No. 25 player in the Commonwealth holds offers from Maryland and Virginia Tech. Burd is hoping to visit one of those schools before deciding.
"I am leaning towards UVA, but I really want to try to get up there before I decide. If it doesn't work out then I'll make my mind without the visit," he said. "I think Maryland is definitely in the picture still because I just don't know a lot about them. They are showing a lot of interest though and their coaches seem really cool."
