Bulls or Cyclones for Florida RB/S
Tampa (Fla.) Hillsborough running back/safety Ricky Ponton says he’s got a decision to make today.
“I’ve got it narrowed down to Iowa State and South Florida,” he said. “I’m going to try to sit down and make my pick tonight.”

Ponton (5-11, 195, 4.5) visited South Florida this weekend.
“It went real good. I enjoyed myself a lot,” he said. “I knew a few of their guys already, and they showed me a good time. I felt like I fit with them.
“I like how they’re moving into the Big East and have a new $21 million football facility coming. It’s supposed to have a weightroom that stretches 90 yards long.”
So what will the key factors be in his choice between the Cyclones and the Bulls?
“It’s whether I want to play running back (USF) or strong safety (ISU), whether I want to stay close to home or go way,” he said.
Any gut feeling now?
“No. It’s a hard choice,” he said.
