Bullock enjoys first official

Absegami, N.J. defensive tackle Brandon Bullock took his first official visit of the season to Syracuse over the weekend. Coming into the visit, the Orangemen were one of two teams leading for the 6-foot-3, 305-pounder. Have they improved their chances after the trip?
"The trip was good," he said. "I got there Friday afternoon and mostly hung out with the players and coaches. On Saturday, I went on a big tour of the school and then took in the Syracuse basketball game. That was fun. The atmosphere there was ridiculous even though there weren't a lot of kids on campus."

One of the players still remaining on campus was Bullock's host, Arthur Jones.
"He was a nice kid," he said. "We play the same position and he told me all about Syracuse and what to see up there. He talked a lot about the different stunts and defense they play. He also mentioned how the game changes at the next level."
The two-star lineman got a chance to talk to the coaches too.
"I got a lot of time with them including my position coach Tim Cross," he said. "It was nice. I've talked to him a lot, but it was good to meet with him again.
"Then I got to talk with coach Robinson. Oh man, talking to the head coach was great. He told me the stuff I need to know about Syracuse and I enjoyed it."
Bullock rated the trip an eight.
"The visit was nice and Syracuse is a good school," he said. "They coaches were really good and they treated me great there."
From here, the Garden State lineman has no other visits planned.
"I have no clue where I'm headed next," he said. "I want to take a trip to Rutgers. I want to get to know the coaches there and find out what I need to from them. Once I do that, I think I may be ready to decide. It's basically between those two schools."
