Buffs getting second chance at DE

Aurora (Colo.) Rangeview defensive end Maurice Lucas initially chose Colorado early in the spring. He later changed that pledge to Kansas State. As the season continues to move along, Colorado’s No. 4 rated player is having some doubts about where he wants to play his college football.
“Maurice is still very interested in Kansas State,” Lucas’ father, David said. “He wants to keep his options open and take a second look at Colorado. Right now, I would say things are kind of up in the air.

“Colorado has been more aggressively pursuing him. But, Kansas State has been staying in touch. We called Kansas State to let him know he was looking around some. He is just going to revisit the whole process.”
Lucas has scheduled an official visit to Kansas State for the weekend of Nov. 19, but has not scheduled one with Colorado.
“He will be visiting Kansas State officially later this month when they play Iowa State. He has not set one with Colorado, yet. It will probably happen sometime in December.
The 6-foot-5, 245-pounder has had other schools calling, but the two Big 12 schools are the only ones under consideration.
“He is interested in these two schools the most,” the elder Lucas said. “He will be picking one of these two schools after his visits are done.”
