Buechel looking to schedule visits

Quarterback Dillon Buechel of McKees Rocks (Pa.) Montour put together an impressive junior season, and in turn is gaining more and more college interest. Last fall he also had a chance to visit two Big East programs.
"Recruiting is pretty good so far," said Buechel, who is 6-foot-4 and 175 pounds. "N.C. State, Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina and Pitt are showing the most interest, and then I've talked to some others too."

While his schedule is more hectic now, last fall he had a chance to make a few visits.
"Last year I went down to West Virginia, and Pitt a couple of times," said Buechel. "But with basketball now, I'm still trying to figure everything out now. I'd like to see all of the schools, but I'll probably have to pick a few this spring."
Buechel gave a little more insight on his visits to West Virginia and Pittsburgh.
"I got to see West Virginia's facilities and they were nice," he said. "It's a nice complex they have down there and it was a good atmosphere at the basketball game. Pitt was nice too. They had a real nice atmosphere at the Miami game."
There are a few things that Buechel will be looking for in a program.
"Not in any particular order or anything, but facilities, coaching, offensive system and atmosphere," said Buechel. "There could be more, but those are four key things."
During his junior season, Buechel completed 140 of 227 passes for 2,085 yards, 24 touchdowns and four interceptions.
"The season went pretty well," said Buechel. "We had a good year and accomplished some real good things."
