The Ohio State Buckeyes went into New Jersey for their latest commitment. Who is he and why did he choose Ohio State?
"I just really felt good about the coaching staff at OSU, that's one of the main reasons I committed," said Piscataway, N.J. cornerback Malcolm Jenkins, a 6-foot-0, 186-pounder. "I liked my recruiting coach, coach Hazell and the position coach, coach Tucker. Coach Tressel is a good guy as well. It was a hard decision to leave home, but I felt Ohio State gave me the best opportunity overall."
Rutgers came in a close second.
"It's in my backyard and my hometown school so it was hard to turn them down," he said. "I like coach Schiano a lot and respect what he's doing. If it hadn't been Ohio State who offered me, I'd probably stay home."
Virginia Tech, Syracuse and Indiana also offered Jenkins, who had eight inteceptions as a junior and four pass breakups.
