Jones was the highest rated recruit in Maryland's 2016 class. He committed to the hometown Terps in early December of 2014 and remained a solid commit until former Terps offensive coordinator Mike Locksley was no longer on the Maryland coaching staff. Jones took an official visit to Ohio State over the weekend and met with D.J. Durkin on Monday morning to inform the Maryland head coach that he was committing to Ohio State.

QB Dwayne Haskins, Potomac (Md.) Bullis School (4-star in the Rivals100)

Under the previous staff, Maryland was convincing local players to play for the hometown team, dubbing this idea "The Movement." Haskins was the de facto leader of "The Movement." He committed to Maryland in mid-May of 2015 and helped recruit players like Rivals100 offensive lineman Terrance Davis, four-stars Tino Ellis, Richard Merritt, and many others. Haskins took official visits to Florida in late November and Ohio State in mid-December.

WR Binjimen Victor, Coconut Creek, Fla. (4-star in the Rivals100)
