Buckeye legacy Landon Pace discusses the latest in his recruitment

Saint Louis (Mo.) University High standout Landon Pace has been a hot commodity this fall. The high three-star tight end has has seen his list of suitors race towards 15 with offers from the likes of Missouri, Wisconsin and Ohio State where Pace's dad Orlando won the Outland Trophy and was selected first overall in the 1997 NFL draft.

Following Friday's game prep, Pace caught up with Rivals to discuss the latest in his recruitment including schools that stand out early and upcoming visit plans.

On schools that stand out in his recruitment right now:

"Mizzou, Wisconsin and Ohio State," Pace said. "I'd say those are probably the top three schools right now."

On Missouri:

"Mizzou is on the rise right now," Pace said. "I like how they are producing right now and they continue to have success."

On Ohio State:

"Ohio State is a big program as you know," Pace said. "They always produce guys. The tight ends are getting the ball a lot this year and their offense is always booming."

On being an Ohio State legacy and if it will impact his decision:

"A little bit you know," Pace said. "Deciding if I want to follow in those (Orlando Pace's) footsteps or create my own path. But, I feel like it definitely has some impact on my decision."

On Wisconsin:

"Wisconsin is a program that I feel like is on the rise," Pace said. "I really like coach Fick (Luke Fickell) a lot, so that stands out. Chris is there too (Former SLUH teammate Chris Brooks Jr.)"

On recent and upcoming visits:

"I've been to Mizzou a lot this year and to Iowa State," Pace said. "I'll be at Ohio State for the game against Penn State, so that should be a good game. I'll be at Wisconsin when they play against Ohio State."

On narrowing his list or a commitment timeline:

"I'll probably try and narrow my list going into senior year, but I'm not in any rush right now," Pace said. "I'm just keeping things wide open for now."
