Already holding three from Kansas State, Mississippi State, and Oklahoma State, the 6-foot-1, 235-pounder is starting to get heavier interest from Oklahoma. It appears a visit is in the works to in order to check out the Sooners up close.
"They're talking about an offer," Buchanan said. "Todd Robison, who takes care of me, talked with the OU coaches on the phone. They just told me not to commit anywhere because they want me to come up for a visit first."
Buchanan says he had his phone off all of Monday, so he wasn't quite sure if any college coaches had called him during the first 24 hours of the May contact period.
As for other visits, he went to Oklahoma State for their spring game.
"It was a pretty good trip," Buchanan said. "I got a chance to talk with the coaches while I was there. They just told me they were glad I came up."
His next trip will be to Oklahoma in about "a week or so" according to Buchanan. He'll make the trip with one of his star teammates.
"Justin Johnson and I are going to go up there I think," he said. "It'll be pretty soon. I'm not naming favorites or anything yet. It's still the same. Everybody is even in my mind."
