Bscherer talks about his UW future

Sturgeon Bay, Wis., offensive lineman Jake Bscherer, who committed to Wisconsin in January of 2005, has been a frequent visitor at the Badgers home games this season, missing only the Temple game.
Bscherer, who started at both offensive left tackle and defensive end during his senior season, averaged 15 'pancake' blocks per game. He has basketball and track seasons to look forward to before starting his career in Madison.

Asked when he will make his official visit to Wisconsin, Bscherer said, "I have to check my basketball schedule. But there's a good chance it will be December 10."
While Bscherer is looking forward to playing for the Badgers, he won't get a head start on things.
"They asked if I wanted to graduate early," Bscherer said. "But I have a good chance to win the state in shot and disc, so I'm going to finish my senior year.
"I think there is a good chance I'll redshirt my first year at Wisconsin. I'm a little light right now. I just want to get bigger and stronger."
The 6-foot-7 and 270-pound Bscherer is the No. 7 offensive tackle prospect in the Rivals.com player rankings, and the No. 1 prospect in the state of Wisconsin.
