Four-star Miami (Fla.) Killian defensive back J.R. Bryant took an official visit to Florida this weekend, but it’s safe to say the Gators aren’t going to be on his list too much longer.
“I was alright,” he said. “Nothing too great. I don’t think I’ll be looking at them anymore… Well, I know I won’t be going to Florida.”
Bryant declined to go into the details of that decision, instead stating that “I’ve narrowed it down to FSU or UM.”
Is there a leader between the Seminoles and Hurricanes?
“They’re too close to call right now,” he said. “It’ll just be a gut feeling for me after I visit UM next week. Wherever I feel like I fit in the best, that’s where I’m going.”
Bryant (6-1, 170, 4.5) had given a early commitment to Miami, but Florida State is now perceived by some to have a slight edge. He is a key target for both programs, rated the No. 4 cornerback in the nation by Rivals.com.
