Bryant enjoys first visit

Richardson (Texas) Berkner defensive tackle Trey Bryant took his first official visit last weekend when he headed west to watch Notre Dame take on Brigham Young.
“The trip was very nice,” the 6-foot-2, 308-pound Bryant said. “I liked it a lot. The game was the best part of the trip. It was a good one to watch.”

Bryant was able to visit with the coaches about their situation at defensive tackle while he was on the visit.
“The coaches told me if I came there I would have a good chance to play early. That is something that I like. I would like that chance. I think I am closer to a decision after the visit, but I’m not ready to pick.
“I am going to visit Arizona this coming weekend. Then I will visit Baylor the weekend of Oct. 8. That might be my last visit. I would say BYU is my favorite right now.”
Bryant’s Berkner squad isn’t tearing up the field, yet.
“We played on Friday. We lost that game and now we are 1-2. Individually, I think I’m doing alright, but I can do better. I don’t know the stats, but I am doing okay. I know I can do better.”
