Bruton names leaders

Miamisburg, Ohio, tight end Kendrick Bruton has quite a few scholarship offers. Some of the schools that have offered sit high on Bruton's list, while some that have not offered are high.
"I have offers from Miami of Ohio, Kent State, Akron, Ohio, Eastern Michigan, and a verbal offer from Purdue," Bruton said. "Other than Purdue, the rest of the offers are in writing.

"I'm real interested in Miami, Purdue, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Akron."
Bruton has visited several schools and has other trips planned.
"Last Saturday I was at Notre Dame's camp," he said. "This Monday I'm going to Cincinnati's camp. June 23 I go to Ohio State's camp.
"I went to spring games and junior days at Miami and Akron."
Bruton plans to select a college before his senior football season starts.
"I plan on deciding sometime this summer," he said. "Right now I don't have a favorite."
The 6-foot-2 and 201-pound Bruton caught nine passes for just over 200 yards during his junior season. He also made 53 tackles.
"Most schools are recruiting me as a tight end or receiver," Bruton said. "But Purdue says linebacker. I prefer to stay on the offensive side of the ball."
