Brunetti takes in LSU/Alabama

Barry Brunetti has had a great season. This junior quarterback from Memphis University School in Tennessee has led his team to a 11-0 record and a playoff win last Friday night against Battle Ground Academy. They won 49-21. Brunetti, 6-2 and 210 pounds, accounted for five scores, four through the air and one on the ground. For the year he has 29 touchdowns (13 passing and 16 rushing).
"Everything was working on offense for us," Brunetti said. "I have to say our offensive line just killed them. We rushed for almost 400 yards in the second half. It seemed liked we were getting ten yards a pop."

Brunetti also had an exciting weekend, spending Saturday and Sunday in Baton Rouge visiting LSU.
"I just got back today from LSU. It was great and the atmosphere was crazy. I mean those are the craziest fans I have ever seen. The stadium was very loud and I think they broke their attendance record.
"I already know so much about LSU but that was my first time there. The atmosphere was just incredible. It seemed like once it became nightfall things became insane. It was the best I have ever seen."
That was the third SEC game Brunetti has taken in this season. Earlier this year he saw Tennessee. Two weeks ago he was in Oxford for Auburn/Ole Miss.
"Ole Miss has great fan support. I love them because Ole Miss is a college town with great facilities. It seems like a great place for just football because there are so few distractions.
"But LSU will be my last game for a while. I want time to focus on the next three weeks (playoffs) and then gear up for camps (this spring)."
Right now with recruiting Brunetti is still waiting on his first scholarship offer. A long list of schools is showing him interest with several new ones like Georgia, Texas Tech and East Carolina now pursuing him.
This weekend MUS plays Nashville (Tenn.) Montgomery Bell Academy.
