Barry Brunetti is one of the top quarterback prospects in the south and this strong-armed signal caller from Memphis recently received his fifth scholarship offer. This one came from the Thundering Herd.
"I found out about it last week even though they actually offered me on March 18th," Brunetti said. "I kind of stumbled on it in a bunch of letters (from schools) that I had not yet opened up. It was a hand written offer. I met one of the coaches last year and I have talked with their quarterback coach. They liked my film and it looks like a good offense for me. Honestly though, I don't know too much about them but I do know they are in West Virginia and they plan in Conference USA."
Aside from Marshall, Mississippi State, Memphis, Duke and Chattanooga have all offered this rising senior from Memphis University School. He recently visited both Mississippi State and Auburn. Brunetti, 6-2 and 212 pounds, was hoping to visit Alabama this weekend but instead will take the ACT.
"I know I will be going to a Mississippi State (spring) practice coming up. I will also visit Georgia when I am in Athens for the Elite 11. I will camp at Virginia Tech this summer and a few others. I know I also want to check out Alabama for sure. I want to see as many schools as I can this summer."
