Bruneau close on offers

After Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian, there may not be another team out West as loaded with Div I prospects as Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame. The Knights are loaded with skill players and one prospect often overlooked is two way standout Ben Bruneau.
Bruneau, 6-1, 200 pounds plays receiver for the Knights but has the size and speed to make an excellent cornerback in college. He's a legit 4.5-40 guy with very quick feet and is a tremendous all around athlete. Bruneau has just six catches on the season but has made the most of them averaging 27 yards per catch with three touchdowns.

On the recruiting front, Bruneau received calls from Nevada and Miami this past week and could be closing in on his first scholarship offer.
"Nevada and Utah State have both talked about offering me," Bruneau said. "Until I hear it from the head coach though, I'm not going to get too excited about it. Right now, I just want a chance to play somewhere. You figure less than 1% of high school players move on to the next level so it would be a huge honor to suit up and play for anyone. That's why I'm not going to close any doors and will be open to everyone who wants to recruit me."
We'll be out at the Notre Dame- Crespi game tonight and will report back on how Bruneau, and the rest of his fellow Div I teammates, fared next week.
