Brumfield to announce this weekend

Carson (Calif.) linebacker Lamar Brumfield was expected to visit Oregon this past weekend but the trip was postponed for a later date by the Ducks. That trip will likely not take place as it sounds like Brumfield will be announcing for Washington State when he visits Pullman this weekend.
"Oregon called me last week and said they had a lot of players visiting and wanted me to trip another week," Brumfield. "I told them that was fine but I was kind of thinking they were putting me on the backburner a little bit. Washington State has been recruiting me the hardest this whole year and I talk to Coach Skipper all the time.

"Coach Skipper was just at our house last week and I can tell they really want me. Right now, my plan is to commit this weekend on my visit assuming everything goes well. Washington State has a good program and I really like what they have going on there right now. I think I would fit in well there and I'm excited to be a part of the program assuming I do end up committing to them which is my plan right now."
Brumfield, 6-2, 215 pounds is a talented athlete with a nice upside. He's big, athletic and makes plays. The 'backer finished the year with 83 tackles, one sack and two fumble recoveries.
