Bruins, Pokes, Badgers tops for DE

Pearland, Texas defensive end Cyril Obiozor has many schools recruiting him, but the three-star standout has three that sit at the top of the list.
“I’m not eliminating anyone,” the 6-foot-4, 236-pound Obiozor said. “This whole process is going well. I have a lot of schools showing interest and as the season gets a little closer you are able to slowly narrow the schools you are really interested in. I know I need to kind of start making my list of schools smaller.”

While the process of choosing what schools to visit, Obiozor has three schools that stick out the most.
“UCLA, Oklahoma State and Wisconsin are at the top,” he said. “Those three are the ones I like the most, at least from what I know about them at this point.”
The Bruins, despite a new coaching staff, have been recruiting Obiozor the longest.
“I had been in contact with coach (Eric) Bienemy when he was at Colorado,” he said. “Then when he moved out to UCLA, he kept in touch with me. I have a good relationship with him so far. I really would like to get out there on a visit this fall.
“Oklahoma State is a program that interests me too. They are a good program. They are close to home. And they are in one of the top conferences around. Wisconsin is probably my third school right now. I am still learning about them. One of my good friends is headed up there and that has me interested in them some, too.”
Other schools that interest Obiozor are Missouri and Pittsburgh.
“All of them have offered me a scholarship,” he said. “I just want to learn as much as I can about the schools and make a decision then. I don’t have any timetable set. I want to take a few visits for sure and go from that point then.”
